Yanko Tankov’s House

Yanko Tankov & Co. Company was founded in 1911 to trade column, hardware, paint and varnish. There were four shops and warehouses on the ground floor. The inner walls of the house were richly decorated, but the frescoes are not preserved. The building is crowned with 4 loft towers facing both streets.

During the communist times the corner shop housed one of the most famous cafes in Ruse – Havana, later Ali Baba, and at present Planet Food.
